Optimal Fleet Recommendation >> Process

The following considerations need to be addressed during the equipment selection process;

  1. Primary Loading equipment is usually selected first to meet the business requirements such as production rates and selectivity requirements
  2. Primary Hauling equipment is matched to loading tool to ensure optimal loading cycle
  3. Productivity of haul fleet is evaluated against site application such as speed on grade, payload and cycle times
  4. Equipment performance in similar applications, such as Availability, Reliability and Cost is assessed
  5. OEM support is assessed
  6. Maintenance Cost (Parts and Labour, Repair and replace, Major Component). Entered initially (as targets) based on information usually provided by OEM/Supplier, then later will be calculated outputs from Maintenance Strategy.
  7. Operating Cost (Fuel consumption, lubricant cost, tyres cost, major component change out intervals etc). Entered initially (as targets) based on information usually provided by OEM/Supplier, then later will be calculated outputs from Technical (Physical) and Maintenance Strategy.
  8. Owning Cost such as capital investment, depreciation, residual value, payment method, interest and taxes
  9. Sensitivity analysis of Key influences (Risk Parameters) such as commodity prices, Fuel cost,Revenue earned per tonne, Labour cost, Fuel cost, Tyre Cost, Escalation factors, Site Co-efficiency, Operator Co-efficiency, Shift Roster (labour hours required), Infrastructure Cost (per labour hour), Bucket Fill Factor and Payload Policy (overload)
